I will dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two-time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
